It's the Super Bowl! It's like he F.A.Cup final but hella more glitzy.
It’s that time of the year again and the weekend just gone was a huge one in the American sporting diary, the Super Bowl. Super Bowl LVI to be more precise, which is number 56 if you don’t happen to know your Roman Numerals.

As for the half time show, NOW you’re talking. The half-time show is infamous for cherry picking the biggest stars in the world and for countless headlines over the years. Janet Jackson’s infamous ‘wardrobe malfunction’ happened during her set with Justin Timberlake.

Imagine some of the best musical talent performing at half time in the FA Cup Final. It’s such a missed opportunity we still don’t really get why it hasn’t been done. Anyway, after the likes of Madonna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, The Weeknd etc etc, this year for the first time it was hip-hop that took centre stage.
Classic R&B
Crowds were gagged by the replica of the LA district of Compton that was displayed on the floor of the pitch and the set was an awesome house party-cum-neighbourhood peppered with some of the biggest names in legendary hip-hop and R&B.

On stage for the half time show were the likes of Dr Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige resplendent in a sci-fi mirrored costume that Gaga would be proud of. Gaga herself famously bungeed into the stadium from the roof in an incredible half-time show you have to see online if you haven’t already.

So, to the game itself! We’ve done quite a few profiles of hot players in the past year and the Super Bowl didn’t disappoint. The Most Valued Player was a chap called Cooper Kapp who we think you can agree looks rather fit and we are more than happy to see his tight end.

Kapp was on the winning team, the (SPOILER ALERT!) the LA Rams who beat favourites the Cincinnati Bengals. The game took place in LA and amazingly was the first time a home team has won in a home stadium in Super Bowl history. How’s that fact fans!
While in the UK we might not quite appreciate the joys of American Football as we are more of a soccer faring nation with some rugby thrown in for good measure, we love the man mountains that play the game and their all-American muscly jock sensibilities! Bring on Super Bowl 57!
